The lighting for this shoot was fun.
When we planned this photoshoot, it was going to be outside. But being in Texas… it got hot! So, we moved the photoshoot inside, of Adele’s home.
In her bedroom there was this great window seat. And we decided to see what we could create with it.
Now, being in a bedroom, there wasn’t much light. And since this photoshoot was going to be outside, I hadn’t brought a lot of light modifiers.
Luckily, I found an umbrella in my truck to help soften the light on one side and the sock for my beauty dish to soften the light on the other side.
Then it was just a matter of adjusting the camera shutter and ISO for the light fixture in the window and then balancing the strobe lights with that.
Now that the light was adjusted the modeling began!
One of the great things about working with Adele is she’s a natural model. One that you don’t have to give directions too… you just have to keep and stay in sync with her.
Do you know of a great spot for a photoshoot? If you do I would love to hear about!
